The potency of X-Factor depends on how many characters you have alive still. You can activate X-Factor almost any time you want aside from if you’re being hit or being hit in a combo. To activate X-Factor, you simply press all four buttons. X-Factor buffs your character’s speed and damage while also regenerating red health. The comeback mechanic in this game is X-Factor. ![]() This isn’t mandatory as you can simply spike the opponent to the ground if you hold no direction at all. It’s essentially like a rock-paper-scissor mechanic as your opponent can also predict which direction you chose and break out of it. Going up will help you do more damage, holding the side will take away 1 entire meter gauge from your opponent, and holding down will give you 1 meter gauge. We have the aerial exchange where depending on which direction you’re holding and pressing a the special button while in the middle of an air combo, you’ll switch characters and cause certain things to the opponent. There are several new mechanics that were introduced in this game. The fighting format is still a 3v3 and very fast paced. I, for one, welcomed this change because I don’t mind having new people enjoy this game and having the controls be easier. A lot of people disliked this change as it made the game a bit easier to play. Special is typically your launcher and spike when you’re in the air. The game is a 4-button fighter with light, medium, heavy, and special attack. Capcom (which I’ll talk about at a later time). The gameplay of this game has changed and took mechanics and inspirations from Tatsunoko vs. The trailers really captivated me and I was so hyped and excited for this new Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds which featured a lot of amazing characters in a brand new way.
